Forum Several Questions
Hi All, Thanks for the great support.
I am switching over my Forum from SMF 2 RC4. Although I liked SMF 2, I just think vbulletin would be a better solution, less problems, and offers more. (Hope I am right?). Anyhow, I host with godaddy grid hosting. Would I benefit by installing a slave database? Is it as easy as just creating another database and adding to the config file? (Do I always have to back up the main and slave databases, or just the main?) Do to switching from SMF 2.0, I have my SMF 2.0 still running, and created my vbulletin Forum in another forum. Once I get the vbulletin Forum perfect, I am deleting the SMF 2, and moving the vbulletin over to the correct folder. (How do I change the settings in vbulletin when I move to new folder?) Also, due to the move, SEO will have a lot of pages not found. What is the best way to address this? (.htaccess?) Please explain/examples would be great.
